Delete your account & data

Open the item in the app, tap the … (more) menu, and choose Delete. The item and any text we derived from it to make it searchable (transcripts, image descriptions, extracted document text) are removed from your library.

To delete your whole account and everything associated with it, email hello@withrewrite.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my Cache account”. We verify that the request comes from the account holder, permanently delete your account and all saved content, and email you to confirm once it is done. We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days.

When you delete your account we permanently remove:

• Your account and sign-in information (your email address).
• Everything you saved — notes, links, images, voice recordings, scans, and uploaded documents.
• All text we derived from your content to power search (audio transcripts, image descriptions, and text extracted from links and documents), and your search history.
• Any stored credentials for connected cloud accounts (these are deleted the moment you disconnect, and in any case when your account is deleted).

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

After you delete your account, active data is removed from our systems promptly. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period (up to 30 days) before they are overwritten, and we may retain the minimum records required to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content for advertising.
